Elsmore Ks. Days Sept. 11, 2010

Forgot my camera so I didn't get any photos. Was a real nice event. Not alot of people but what was there were very nice and friendly. We made $65.00 which was darn good. I sold 3 of my stitchery pictures, stitchery pillow, one of Shanies mummy dolls she made, October Annie Rag Doll,  hair scrunchies, potholders, little kids rings, and lots of bubble gum.
Louise has been in the hospital the last 14 days so she didn't feel like going. Diane and Darrell set up for her. She did pretty good, she always does, she has regular customers that buy her tea towels. Rick and I had a real nice time visiting with Diane and Darrell. Turned out to be a very nice day, sun shining and not hot. Love these kind of days.

A Great Day Thrifting.

July 17, 2010, A great Saturday thrifting with hubby.
Slept in till 6:30 am. Let hubby sleep till 8:30. We sat around and watched some craft and quilt shows on television and drank coffee. We finally decided to get up and get out of the house.
First we went to the free church ( a church that offers clothing and such for free). Very nice people there also. It's a great place to go recycling. They have a few nic nacs and alittle furniture. I've found alot of things to use in my crafts. We also donate quite afew items. We loaded up a box and a couple of bags of items and left the house. I'm so glad we did go because I found a glass oval casserole dish with lid, a pair of glass candlesticks and one odd ball one ( for pinkeeps), a picture frame ( for my stitcherys), some belts, and curtains for the fabric and lace. Rick picked up this glass item that looks like a old bikehorn. He said Dear, look at the neat glass bike horn. I laughted and when I told him what it really was his face got red. Yes... It was an old glass breast pump. He took it, lol.
Then when stopped at a couple of yard sales. Found a quilt at one, factory made. It has afew spots of something on it but it was free so I took it. I would of been stupid if I didn't, right? Stopped at another one and found 4 small paper mache boxes for $.15@, also a mug or candle warmer for $.25. Couldn't pass them up.
That's all that the heat would let us stop at so we decided to go to the local thrift store and look around. Found quite afew $.25 items and best of all a wooden bow shaped quilt hanger for only $3.00. Going to put it in the shop and hang one of Velma's quilts for sale. Oh yes, two of my aunts and I are going to open a quilt and craft shop. Tell more about it later.
We lefted the thrift store and went to the flea market and checked around. Didn't find anything.
Decided to go home where it's cool.
What a great day!!

THE K. C. COBRA MARCHING BAND.

Rich Hill, Mo. 4th July 2010 Cele. K C Cobra Marching Band. They performed in the parade and park. Skyla and Tami Grey (our friend) went up to watch them preform in the park. One of the men came up to Skyla and held his hand out and asked he to dance with them. SHE DID!! DARN NO PICTURES!! I wasn't thinking or I would sent my camera with them. Skyla went over afterwards and took this picture. I couldn't go either place but did see alittle of their preformance through the crowd.
